  3. Audrey Hepburn, Breakfast At Tiffany’s. 1961.   Stockholm's sultry  beauty was in the running for Holly Golightly until Audrey’s name came up... By 1967 having lost her great love, Bing Crosby, and after a succession of love affairs with co-stars (Harry Belafonte, Clint Eastwood, Dean Martin, James Mason, Anthony Quinn, Burt Reynolds), Inger was in a bad way. During A Time For Killing that year, young co-star Paul Petersen became known as The Bag Man. “Someone would give me a bag of money and tell me to go down to the police station and bail her out. The studio didn’t care, as long as she got back to work."
  4. Yvette Mimieux, The Most Deadly Game, TV 1970.     Less than a week after signing for the series, Inger ODed at home, dying en route to hospital. Following her “suicide,” it was revealed that she had been married (since 1961) to African-American actor Ike Jones - kept secret to protect her career. They were separated before she died.
