- Jesse L Martin, Sexual Healing, 2013. Last minute change of Marvin Gaye in the musical biopic as rock singer Kravitz backed out and actor Martin moved in - his screen mother being played by his Law & Order boss, S Epatha Martkerson. Martin had also been chosen by actor-producer James Gandolfini for his thwarted version of Healing - eight years previously.
