1. - Barney Martin. Seinfeld, TV, 1990-1998.  Bruns was the first Morty Seinfeld  - Jerry’s dad. After his one outing in the second episode, co-creator Larry David wanted a more cantankerous Morty - and Martin  took over for the rest of the smash hit series. As he done after replacing the first Frank Costanza, David wanted to re-shoot Martin in Bruns’ old scenes - except, four years on, the stars had  noticeably aged.
