To say nothing of his failing (seven year) marriage to Greer Garson. They met when she played his mother, a certain Mrs Miniver in 1942. When he was 26, and she, 38. On quitting acting (after drek like Babes in Bagdad, 1952), he became a prominent stock market analyst…predicting the ’62 market crash.
