- Leigh McCloskey, General Hospital, TV, 1993-1996. The Californian was offered the choice of two roles in ABC’s medical soap: mob boss Michael "Sonny" Corinthos or amobsters son, Damian Smith. Benard voted Sonny, a six-month gig, while Smith meant a three year contract. Hah! Sonny was still there in 2018 - after 25 years (including one year off), 2,324 episodes, five Emmy nods and one win.
