Lynne Baggett

  1. Lilian Molieri,The Stranger, 1945.     “The Triple A Girl” (Adorable, Amiable, Amorous) from Texas – and  three Warner years –  tested for the Orson Welles film.  At 23, she  lost the role but won the producer,  the 22 years older SP Eagle aka… well, she became the second Mrs Sam Spiegel.  Her films included Mildred Pierce, Night and Day and Abbott and Costello’s Time of Their Lives. The stunning bisexual  had Hollywood’s  longest legs until Cyd Charisse danced along  – but  lacked Marilyn’s adoration of  the camera. The 1948 marriage of Lynne and SP Eagle, said a Billy Wilder cable, was SP Lendid and left the whole  town SP Eechless!  (John Huston encouraged the marriage – probably the worst joke (of many) he played on Sam. The couple divorced in 1955 and she ODed in 1960, months after Spiegel  announced what would be  his  greatest  triumph, Lawrence of Arabia.
