- David Hemmings, Camelot, 1966. As stars like Brando, Burton, O’Toole, Julie Christie, Marianne Faithfull, Elizabeth Taylor and Terence Stamp were chased for King Arthur, Guenevere and Lancelot, two fairly unknown Brits, James Beckett and Barry Justice, were seen for Mordred, the bastard son of King Arthur of Round Table (and indeed Camelot) fame. Hemmings, however, was the #1 new Brit of the hour. Thanks to his breakthrough in Michelangelo Antonioni’s Blow Up.
- Michael York, Accident, 1967. Ain’t no Justice here…! Barry lost William to Michael in in what The Times rightly hailed as “the Joseph Losey film everyone has been waiting for.” Justice was a busy TV actor. In the London 70s. He commited suicide in 1980.
