Pascale Audret (1936-2000)

  1. Marie-José Nat, L’éducation sentimentale, 1961.    For his fourth film, Paris critic turned auteur (and so-called Uncle of the New Wave) Alexandre Astruc wanted his usual muse, Anouk Aimée, to be Anne Arnoux in his take on Flaubert. She agreed. And, once again, she fled. (As she had done  on  his third film, Une vie, 1957).  He then looked at Audret… and netted Nat.
  2. Joanna Shimkus, Ho!,  France, 1968.    Four years after actor-director Roger Coggio almost made  it with Serge Reggiani,  realisateur Robert Enrico shot Jose Giovanni's  book with Giovanni fan Jean-Paul Belmondo. And a different cover-girl lover from Audret, future maman of Kill Bill'sJulie Dreyfus. The Canadian Shimkus owned The Bottom of the French TV Year in 2015, thanks to a transparent bikini bottom in a clip from Les adventuriers, 1966,  with Alain Delon, being re-run in one of his Eau Sauvage commercials for Dior.
