  1. Jean-Paul Melville, A bout de souffle (UK/US: Breathless), France, 1959.      Jean Seberg was due to interview a VIP between planes at Orly Airport. Making his feature debut, Jean-Luc Godard first considered one of the most influential writers the 20th Century - playing himself. To please his (then) pal Godard, realisateur Melville played the interviewee as a writer named Parvulesco.
