James Beckett

  1. David Hemmings, Camelot, 1966.   As stars like Brando, Burton, O’Toole, Julie Christie, Marianne Faithfull, Elizabeth Taylor and Terence Stamp were chased for King Arthur, Guenevere and Lancelot, two fairly unknown Brits, James Beckett and Barry Justice, were seen for Mordred, the bastard son of King Arthur of Round Table (and indeed Camelot) fame.  Hemmings, however, was the #1 new Brit of the hour. He was  just everywhere after Blow Up.  But without a song to sing.  Ironic as he was the only trained snger in the main cast!
