- Dennis Lill, Doctor Who #94: Image of the Fendahl, TV, 1977. Anthony Bate quit as archeologist Dr Fendelman. Then, after musing over Blakely, John Carson, John Franklin-Robbins, Michael Gough and Robert Hardy, producer John Nathan-Taylor settled on Lill opposite Doc4 Tom Baker in a little UK village, instead of the usual strange planet. (Imagine a planet called Fetchborough!). Despite more than 80 screen roles, Blakely (a National Theatre player an a TV Jesus) never joined the Whoverse.
