  2. Thelma Leeds, The Toast of New York, 1936. Or The Robber Barons when the supporting act for top starred Edward Arnold, Cary Grant and Frances Farmer,  was a certain Mademoiselle Fleurique – originally  intended for the French-Canadian Fifi.
  3. Marjorie Main,   The Belle of New York, 1952. Mae West anted too much money.  Fifi and Beatrice Lilli  Fturned it down and so Miss Main became Mrs Hill.
