Ron Eldard

  1. Keifer Sutherland, Phone Booth, 2002.    Alfred Hitchcock was taken with Larry Cohen’s story 40 years earlier but could never explain what kept the guy stuck in the booth for so long.  The 90s answer?  A sniper!  Ron just did not work out as the unseen gunman on the phone, not threatening enough. “Ron was up in the building opposite,” recalled Farrell. “All right for him, he had his script, his post-its, his binoculars… while I was stuttering my way through ten pages…  The confession scene was  eight minutes.”   Kiefer was an old mate of the director Joel Schumacher since their Lost Boys and Flatliners. Had a great voice.  And a spare 24 hours.
