Stévenin had already been booked by realisateur Robert Guédiguian to play French Resistance fighter Henri Krasucki (future boss of the French Communist Party, 1982-92), when Garrel fell out and Robinson took over his role as Marcel Rayman, another member of the poet Missak Manouchian’s reseau.
