Danny Pino, Law Order: SVU, TV, 2011- . With Christopher Meloni quitting and multi-Emmy award-winning Mariska Hargitay reducing her schedule, new blood was required for the 13th season of Dick Wolf’s cop-art. Five actors were flown to New York to test with Mariska and provide, said Wolf, “the opportunity to explore the world of SVU with new eyes.” The biggest star – coming off 151 episiodes of Cold Case, 2000-10 – beat Conrad of Ghost Whisperer, Rhys Coiro from Entourage and two previous SVU guests Kevin Ajejandro and Michael Raymond-Jones. Meloni returned to the Wolf fold in the 202l spinoff, Law & Order: Organized Crime.

A BOND MISS

It’s more doubtful that the next Bond will be Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Not because his name is longer than any 007 title. But from August (and instead of Adam Driver, Brad Pitt, Keanu Reeve or John David Washington,) he has his own Marvel to nuture,. Kraven the Hunter – fifth film in the Spideyverse. (Aaron was an Amazing Spider-Man contender in 2010). He’s also into the WWII bomb heist, Fuze, and joins M-that-was, Ralph Fiennes, in the 28 Years Later chapter from Danny Boyle – who, of course, directed Daniel Craig and his ultimate Bond Girl, The Queen, for the 2012 London Olympics.
