Francois Pascal

  1. Hugues Quester, La Rose fer, France, 1973.       After producteur  Sam Selsky found a London leading girl in the succulent  Françoise Pascal, it seemed somewhat muddling if her leading man should be François Pascal..!  He was dropped for Quester. Bad move. French B-movie horrorsmith Jean Rollin found Quester, while a good actor, took everything, himself included, too seriously.  He argued with Selsky, then with Rollin (“until I only  talked to him via my assistant”). The actor did much the same with Françoise – a stupid offensive, considering they were, basically the entire cast.. Pity, because the first notion could have helped clear up the difference – for foreigners – between Françoise and François… once and for all.
