1. – Mark McGann, John and Yoko: A Love Story, TV, 1985. This is unique… The only actor I know of who lost a choice role because of… his name. It was far too close to that of John Lennon’s murderer, Mark David Chapman. And that, said Yoko Ono, who had fully co-operated with the project, was bad karma. Enter: Mark, of the UK brothers McGann (Joe, Paul and Stephen). Ironically, Chapman (who started acting in the mid-80s as Mark Lindsay) went on to be Lennon in Chapter 27, a 2006 movie about the other Chapman in the days leading to and including the 1980 assassination.
