Randolph Roberts

  1. Edd Byrnes, Wicked, Wicked, 1972.  For his film debut, Fresno’s theater arts student  auditioned for Hank Lassiter. He proved so impressive that director Richard  T Bare and his producer, William T Orr, bumped him up to co-lead status opposite David Bailey (not the photographer) and Tiffany Bolling.  Byrne was easy to win, having worked with producer William T Orr and director Richard L Bare on 77 Sunset Strip, TV, 1958-1963. The title was doubled to match the Duo-Vision gimmick of the entire film being shown in split-screen with different images on both.  Didn’t save it. Roberts played 14 other screen roles until 1985.
