- John Hart, The Lone Ranger, TV, 1952. Moore, The Ranger, refused to continue for more episodes than he first figured – 52 – when fighting over money said the suits, but no, said Moore, it was over the old standby of creative differences. Hart, from two of Moore’s 1950 chapters, took over for a full year. Then all rights were bought by producer Jack Wrather, who already owned Lassie, and he immediately called up Moore and, more or less said “Hi-Yo Silver!” – lots of it! Moore had previously been masked as the Ghost of Zorro serial in 1948.
