Isiah Mustafa, It Chapter Two, 2018. Veterans like Don Cheadle and Taye Diggs were listed, of course. But the adult Mike Hanlon was a job for one of the new generation. Mustafa, from Shadowhunters, survived suchheady opposition as Chadwick Boseman, Donald Glover, Michael B Jordan, Anthony Mackie and Craig Robinson. Idris Elba was also keen, after his Stephen King film, The Dark Tower, 2016. This was the 262nd of King’s staggering 313 screen credits … and his second biggest hit! The first? It, 2016, of course. A BOND MISS

It’s more doubtful that the next Bond will be Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Not because his name is longer than any 007 title. But from August (and instead of Adam Driver, Brad Pitt, Keanu Reeve or John David Washington,) he has his own Marvel to nuture,. Kraven the Hunter – fifth film in the Spideyverse. (Aaron was an Amazing Spider-Man contender in 2010). He’s also into the WWII bomb heist, Fuze, and joins M-that-was, Ralph Fiennes, in the 28 Years Later chapter from Danny Boyle – who, of course, directed Daniel Craig and his ultimate Bond Girl, The Queen, for the 2012 London Olympics.
