- Claude Dolenz, The Last Time I Saw Paris, 1953. Van Johnson and Walter Pidgeon stole the movie as the heroine’s husband and father from F Scott Fitzgerald’s short Babylon Revisited – greatly expanded (by Casablanca writers, Julius and Philip Epstein) to make room for Elizabeth Taylor as the originally unseen Helen. The Epstein twins were also due to direct before Philip died in February 1952.
- Dan Dailey, Meet Me In Las Vegas, 1956. Producer Joe Pasternak planned a Weekend At Las Vegas for Lana Turner-Thompson. It became musicalised for Cyd Charisse-Dailey.
