Conrad Brooks

1. – Dino Fantini, The Sinister Urge, 1960. Exploitation producer Georeg Weiss wanted Brooks as the sex maniac in Ed Wood’s twelth movie, but had no clout – ie, no money to finish the shooting. Brooks bought and sold it to Reefer Madness man Roy Reid. Originally tittled Racket Queen, it started shooting July 15, 1960 and after Act of Compulsion, Hollywood After Dark, Immoral Intruder, and Chains of Evil, the Headliner Production #112 became The Sinister Urge.  Ed Wood was paid $1,250 for auteuring – including additional shots  in August 1961 of Fantini ripping off  Rhea Walker’s  blouse.
