Will Arnett

  1. Bill Hader, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, 2008.   Will  and Amy Poehler were first to try and produce and star in a 3-D animation version of the 80s’ kids’ book about food falling from the sky like rain. Sony succeeded. And how! “The first movie,”  enthused Chicago critic Roger Ebert,  “where the hero dangles above a chasm lined with razor-sharp peanut brittle while holding onto a red licorice rope held by his girlfriend, who has a peanut allergy, so that when she gets cut by some brittle and goes into anaphylactic shock and her body swells up, she refuses to let go, and so the hero bites through the licorice to save her. You don’t see that every day.”
  2. Jason Sudeikis, We’re The Millers, 2012.    Will Arnett, Jason Bateman and Steve Buscemi all lost out on of having Jennifer Aniston’s stripper posing as the wife of a fake family, looking so innocent, while smuggling “enough weed to kill Willie Nelson” into the US. This is one of the five films Aniston made with Sudeikis, which almost makes up for two with Adam Sandler.
  3. Daniel Henney, Big Hero 6, 2014.   “We didn't set out to be superheroes. But sometimes life doesn't go the way you planned.” Will Arnett, Steve Carell, Charlie Day, Will Ferrell, Louis CK, Nick Offerman, Jim Parsons and Chris Pratt, were seen (and heard!)  for voicing Tadashi, creator of the inflatable Baymax robot in Disney’s first Marvel subject -  winning the best animation Oscar. It unfurls in 2023 (we all know that computer battery number, right?) in San Fransokyo (‘Frisco rebuilt by the Japanese after an earthquake) and deals with a super-troupe behind the titular collective name… that nobody actually uses.
