Irrfan Khan

  1. Ronit Roy, Midnight’s  Children, Canada-UK, 2012.    Change of Ahmed Sinai in the badaptation of the Salman Rushdie book. The film, said Kathy Gibson as her Access Bollywood site, muddled the fascinating history of India since Partition with a bizarre personal story – ”impossible to connect with.” Including children born  at the very hour of Partition with superpowers. One girl made things disappear. Just like the UK did with India in 1947.

  2. David Oyelowo,  Interstellar, 2013.     Explorers use a new wormhole to surpass human space travel  limitations and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage. No wonder Steven Spielberg was attached since  2006. Christopher Nolan made it.  Of course he did –  his brother Jonathan wrote it.

  3. Chiwetel Ejiofor, The Martian, 2014.    Stuck on Bollywood’s Piku, Khan passed Venkat Kapoor to Ejiofor. Just as scenaristg Drew Goddard passed direction to Ridley Scott. On reading the scenario, Scott immediately postponed  his Prometheus sequel.  And started shooting on the red desert sands of Wadi Rum in Jordan
