Nicholas Clay

  1. Harry Hamlin, Clash  of the Titans, 1981.      Director Desmond Davis’ choice for Perseus came down to Clay or Hamlin.  They were also being considered for Tristan in the lifeless Lovespell.  Harry really won.  He had a son, Dimitri,  with co-star Ursula Andress.
  2. Roger Moore, For Your Eyes Only, 1981.
  3. Peter Firth, Lifeforce, 1984.
  4. Robert Glenister, Doctor Who #135: The Caves of Androzani, TV, 1984.   When Christopher Gable was switched from Major Salateen to Sharez Jek, eight regular Whoversers had to bow to newcomer Glenister – Clay, Nicholas Ball, Ralph Bates, Christopher Cazenove, Tom Chadbon, Nicholas Clay, Brian Cox, Donald Sumpter.   Ironically, Baker’s  successor  as Doc7, Sylvester McCoy,  used to do a comedy act as a crazy stuntman called Sylveste – he added the “r” for his stage name.
