Robert Hogan

  1. Bob Crane, Hogan’s Heroes, TV, 1965-1971. A friend created the pilot, named the hero after him – he tested for the role… and lost!  What a bummer!   He did get two guest shots among the 158 episodes but…  In a hectic career of 154 screen roles, Hogan popped up in  every series known  to man. From Batman, Bonanza, Cheyenne, The Colbys, Dr Kildare, The Fugitive, Gunsmoke, Here’s Lucy, Hill Street Blues, Mannix, McCloud, M*A*S*H, Mission: Impossible, Mork & Mindy, Peyton Place, The Rockford Files, Twilight Zone  to The Wire.  He  won a shout-out from Quentin Tarantino, via Leonardo DiCaprio’s role in Once Upon A Time… in Hollywood  when Leo praises the work of Bobby Hogan while watching  a 1965  chapter of ABC;s The FBI.
