Hiroyuki Sanada, Rush Hour 3, 2006. In the mix for the villain Kenji (with Vinnie Jones, Steven Seagal, Jean-Claude Van Damme and Wenzhuo Zhao) when director Brett Ratner’s Jackie Chan-Chris Tucker road show hit Paris. However, the Thai martial artist revelation of Ong-bak, 2002 (a great Chan fan), was too busy prepping two of his own sequels.
Jean-Claude Van Damme, Kickboxer: Vengeance, 2015. Owing to a crowded schedule, Jaa had to quit the Kickboxer reboot, leading JCVD returning to his 1988 roots. This time he was the mentor of his previous character, Eric Sloane – played here by UK action star Darren Shahlavi… who died soon after shooting was completed.

We’ve found two more titles for Jack – Wall Street, Scent of a Woman - and just one extra for Marlon (The Killer Inside Me). Result: Jack now tops the league with 179 films compared to Brando’s 173. A BOND MISS

It’s more doubtful that the next Bond will be Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Not because his name is longer than any 007 title. But from August (and instead of Adam Driver, Brad Pitt, Keanu Reeve or John David Washington,) he has his own Marvel to nuture,. Kraven the Hunter – fifth film in the Spideyverse. (Aaron was an Amazing Spider-Man contender in 2010). He’s also into the WWII bomb heist, Fuze, and joins M-that-was, Ralph Fiennes, in the 28 Years Later chapter from Danny Boyle – who, of course, directed Daniel Craig and his ultimate Bond Girl, The Queen, for the 2012 London Olympics.
