Anthony Rapp

  1. Chris O’Donnell, Scent of a Woman, 1992.    The Godfather, Diner, Dead Poets Society… every so often a film introduces a bunch of potential stars. The School Ties squad, 1992, all auditioned for a chance to make an Al Pacino movie: O’Donnell, Rapp, Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Brendan Fraser, Cole Hauser.
  2. Matthew Perry, Friends, TV, 1994-2004.      As if anyone else could have been   Chandler… Yet Rapp was on the March 7, 1994 reading list for what the creators pitched as “searching for love and commitment and security… and a fear of love and commitment and security.”   He later starred in both the Broadway and Hollywood versions of the musical, Rent. When cast as the first gay character in Star Trek, Rapp was the first (of several men in LA and London in October 2017) to out Kevin Spacey as a sexual predator… Spacey’s career, House of Cards TV series and top role in Ridley Scott’s All The Money in the World went down in rapid flames.
