Brian Glover

  1. Patrick Stewart, Lifeforce, 1984.
  2. John Hallam, Lifeforce, 1984.
  3. Terry Molloy, Doctor Who  #137: Attack of the Cybermen, 1984.      Glover, Ralph Bates, Brian Blessed, Bernard Hill and Edward Woodward were seen for cop called Russell in. However, director Matthew Robinson wanted to reward Terry Molloy (same name as Brando’s character in On The Waterfront, 1953). with a human role – after his heavily made-up Davros in the previous #133: Resurrection of the Daleks, 1984.  Glover, an ex-wrestler, was part of the astonishing army of 203 candidates for just 18 roles in that year’s Lifeforce movie. The difference being Who was science fiction, Lifeforce was science fart.  NB Glover wrote a far  better script for The Doctor, himself.  NB in this instance  means: not bought.
