Carl Brisson

  1. Georges Guétary, An American In Paris, 1950.   The former Danish boxer – and Rosalind Russell’s father-in-law – must have been surprised to  discover he was  on the list for Henri drawn up by co-directors Vincente Minnelli and Gene Kelly. Brisson had not made a movie  since Ship Café in 1934. He was ruled out in good, if obvious  company:  Maurice Chevalier, Yves Montand, Jean Sablon.
