Gia Scala

1. – Anna Kashfi, Cowboy, 1958.   The Hollywood   career of the Liverpool-born Gia collapsed soon after her most memorable role in The Guns of Navarone,   1961. Her drinking made her unreliable and suicidal: a London taxi-driver saved her after she leapt from Waterloo Bridge into the River Thames. By May 1971, Anna Kashfi took custody of Scala, then   under psychiatric observation, and she stayed with Anna and her   son, Christian Brando, for two months. The following year, her third suicide attempt worked.
