1. -  Jean Harlow,  Hell's Angels, 1930.  Greta shot the silent flying epic in 1927 but Howard Hughes had to dump her when turning it (twice over) into a talkie, with one colour reel. Greta's Norwegian accent would not pass  muster as British. Nor, of course, did Harlow's. But she was under contract at $250 a week.
