1. - Brian Reece, A Case for PC 49, 1951. For some odd reason (money, what else?), Hammer Films bypassed the star of the famous BBC radio series and hired Latimer for the toff copper, Police Constable Archibald Berkeley-Willoughby, (Not a bad match for the actor’s full name: Hugh Alexander Forbes Latimer). Reece was rapidly back on the beat for this second (and last) film.
