When Christopher Cubitt suddenly quit the (fictional) making of Kevin Smith’s iconic Clerks – in New Jersey, of course, but also Dundee, Scotland! - Scottish director (ah!) Christopher Downie called up Brameld from their short, Emo Kev, to take over playing Scott Mosier - aka William The Idiot Manchild in the 1993 movie. Brameld also refused. Unlike Cubbit, there was a reason given.. “I don’t consider myself an actor. ” But they all say that.
