Jean Mosdman

  1. Yvonne De Carlo, Salome Where She Danced, 1944.      The  Hollywood Citizen-News reported in May,  that the 21-year-old Universal secretary (!) had been chosen by producer Walter Wanger  as Salome. Then,  he decided on a wider search – nation wide! – to find a new female star.  He cut 20,000 wannabes to eight (yeah, sure) including Mary Lou Campell, plus Barbara Bates and  Kerry Vaughn who became Salome Girls – while the siren, herself, became De Carlo. On loan  from RKO.
