Jo Ann Harris

  1. Kay Lenz, Breezy, 1973.    For his second film as a director, Clint Eastwood was considering The Beguiled girl, allegedly,a recent mistress. Scenarist Jo Heims was displeased  .She favored  Sondra Locke, a gamine rather than a sexpot. Then, she realized Clint didn’t really “get” her May-December romance.   “Sure enough,” said Locke, who met him for the first time during casting, “the final film was a predictable, run-of-the-mill story about a man in his late 50s who chases a young, teenage chick with lots of T and A.”  Enough to have Kay sought for and spurning almost everything – The Accused, Fatal Attraction, Hannah And Her Sisters, Once Upon A Time in America, The Terminator, Thelma and Louise – and, therefore, never reached the stardom she deserved.
