Lanny Ross

  1. Bing Crosby, Mississippi, 1934.    For the one and only time – Crosby and… WC Fields!! Because when radio singer Lanny (short for Lancelot, no less) was found less popular than Paramount’s very own Crosby, it was obvious who was going to be up crooning Rodgers and Hart songs on WCF’s showboat – billed as The Singing Killer.  Long story. Well, 73 minutes.. Ross was seen in  four films only, during 1933-1938.
