Laurence Naismith

  1. William Devlin, Solomon and Sheba, 1958.      Because he was still completing another gig in London, Naismith swopped Madrid roles with Devlin – dropping Naghna and becoming Hezrai.  As if anyone noticed in an “epic” remembered only for two events.  The death,  almost on-set,  of its star Tyrone Power and…  being voted among The Fifty Worst Films of All Time in the book  by Harry Medved and Randy Lowell.  When he retired in the early 80s, Naismith did what many a Brit dreamt of – moved to Australia  and opened a pub.
