  1. Georgia Hale, The Gold Rush, 1925.   When Charlie Chaplin returned from Alaskan locations, he re-shot almost everything and replaced his now pregnant wife with Hale. (He nearly did the same with Virginia   Cherill after two years shooting on City Lights, 193). Lita Grey was his second 16-year-old  bride.   Her real name was Lillita. Vladimir Nabokov is alleged  to have simply changed the spelling when writing   the novel inspired by her.   Lolita.
