The Belgian find then went into Tavernier’s L’Appat.   She had soon knocked off   20 films to Jane’s eight.

2. – Héléne de Fougerolles, Le raid, France, 2001. Even with one big hit behind him – La ciel, les Oioseaux et… Ta Mere! – realisateur Djamel Bernsalah had   difficulty in landing a leading lady after   rejections from Vanessa Paradis, Olivia Bonamy.

3. – Marion Cotillard, Jeux d’enfants, France, 2002, Auteur Yann Samuell changed his mind about the girl who would wait until 80 to say: I love you

4. – Isabelle Carré, Holy Lola, France, 2004.   The role was   Jacques Gamblin’s wife, as they tried to adopt a baby in Cambodia.
