1. – Linda Thorsen, The Avengers, 1968-69. Britain’s first ITV star actress lost out in the big hunt to be Patrick Macnee’s third amazon sidekick, Tara King. Unlike predecessors Honor Blackman and Diana Rigg, Thorson did not graduate into an 007 film. Macnee did, though. (And very good, he looked in his bikini, too).
