Murray Kinnell

  1. Harold Huber, Girl Missing, 1932.   Kinnell and William Powell were among the chosen who did not, in the end, make the the early talkie quickie – shot in two weeks. Two years before, Kinnell helped Bette Davis into the big time the heat before by introducing her to his London pal, George Arliss – who made her the fiancee of his Man Who Played God.
  2. William Stack, Tarzan and His Mate, 1933.   Quite suddenly the Londoner was replaced by Stack as Tom Pierce. The character’s name was, perhaps, a tribute to the 1926 (and radio’s) ape-man James Pierce.
