Myrtle Stedman

  1. Anita King The Squaw Man’s Son, 1917.             Change of Wah-na-gi in the sequel to CB DeMille’s 1913 debut, The Squaw Man. This is not, as various books suggest, The First Re-Make – that was DeMille’s second Squaw Man in 1917. (And he did it a third time in 1930). Chicago’s pretty Stedman made 215 other films (mainly shorts) during 1910-1937. King had first been a race car driver. Her movie career ended, after 19 movies, in 1918.
