Pierre Richard-Willm

1. – Pierre Fresnay, La Grande Illusion, France, 1937. Three top and extremely dumb stars –   Louis Jouvet, Pierre   Blanchar and   Richard-Willm – rejected what became another priceless   classic from the grand realisateur Jean Renoir.

2. – Claude Dauphin, Egaltine, France, 1972.   Turning director, Jean-Claude Brialy had fixed ideas about who should portray his grandfather. Except, non merci… Richard-Willm, like Pierre Fresnay, had been out of films for too long.
