  2. Gail Russell, Lady in the Dark, 1943.      Elizabeth Shaubell was nicknamed Randy in high  school. Her unsuccessful test for Barbara was seen by Fox suits who signed her up in  1947. She retired in 1975 after 60 acreen roles, ranging from wife to almost every TV Western series.
