Robert Burns

  1. Ed Brady,, It’s A Small World, 1934.  Director Irving Cummings dropped Burns  in favour of Brady  as Buck Bogardus in  an early ao Kong-born Brit Wendy  Barrie.  She sure made an impression. When chucking plates at each other in a scene  (screwball, remember) , Wendy hit Tracy close to his right eye. Shooting ceased for a few days as the cut and make-up did not go well together.   They never made a second film together! And he it was who  created  – and copyrighted –  the word bazooka – for a musical  instrument he invented  in 1905.
