- Bernard Cribbins, Daleks’ Invasion Earth: 2150 AD, 1966. The Doctor’s companions from the first cinema movie, Dr Who and the Daleks, 1965, were unavailable for the sequel, and so comic Roy Castle and lovely Jennie Linden’s Ian and Barbara became Cribbins and Jill Curzon’s Tom and Louise. For the TV series, Cribbins later became Wilfred Mott, a bit of a travelling rug in nine stories from 2007 and the grandfather of Doc120 David Tennant’s real rug, Catherine Tate’s Donna Noble, in 15 chapterss during 2007-2010.
