Sheila Bell

  1. Anne Crawford, Ms Like Us, 1943.    A film consciously aimed at the uprooted working girl. Crawford had to replace Bell –  “a lovely girl” said helmer Sidney Gilliatt, “with a sad story.”
  2. Sheila Sim, A Canterbury Tale, 1944.   Director Michael Powell hired her as Sim’s understudy.
