Terence Alexander

  1. David Langton, Upstairs, Downstairs, TV 1971-1975.    The suave Alexander had talks about playing the upstairs boss, Richard Bellamy. An excellent gig for Langton but it would never have matched the enormous pleasure Alexander had as Charlie Hungerford opposite John Nettles’ Bergerac, TV, 1981-1991. “Best role of my life.”
  2. Richard Easton, Doctor Who # 122: Time Flight, TV, 1982.     The 19 nominations for Concorde pilot Captain Stapley in the worst Doc5 Peter Davison episode (the budget ran out…) were  Alexander, Easton, Peter Arne, Keith Barron, Brian Blessed, John Carson, Michael Craig, Paul Darrow, Peter Gilmore, Michael Gothard, John Hallam, Terrence Hardiman, Del Henney, Glyn Houston, Martin Jarvis, William Lucas, Conrad Phillips, Anthony Valentine and Frank Windsor.
  3. Patrick Stewart, Lifeforce, 1984.
  4. Aubrey Morris, Lifeforce, 1984.
  5. Glyn Houston, Doctor Who #131: The Awakening, TV, 1984.       A dozen of producer John Nathan-Taylor’s usual 80s’ suspects were up for Colonel Ben Wolsey opposite Doc5 Peter Davison… Alexander, Houston, Joss Ackland, Michael Craig, James Ellis, Peter Gilmore, John Hallam, Jeremy Kemp, Conrad Phillips, Patrick Stewart, John Stratton, Peter Vaughan.
