Walter McGinn

  1. Charles Haid, The Choirboys, 1977.    McGinn was three days into playing police Sergeant Nick Yanov, when he was killed in a car accident on  March 31, 1977. His replacement rejoined the police in 1981-1987 as Officer Andrew Renko in Steven Bochco’s magnificent cop-art: Hill Steet Blues.  The ex-cop author Joseph Wambaugh  made sure he produced future films of his great books after disowning, disavowing and de-crediting himself from this mess.
